Whether professional training or personal development - our strategic personnel development harmonises the learning needs of our employees with MACO's know-how requirements. Both the annual employee survey and employee appraisals provide input as to which training formats are required.

Establishing a management culture that motivates, encourages and creates a stable framework for employee development - we pursue this goal with comprehensive training programmes for our management team: from individual coaching sessions and training for team leaders in indirect management roles to a toolbox of methods that supports managers in employee development.

Comprehensive training catalogue

Published for the first time at the beginning of 2023 - and already updated for 2024 - the MACO training catalogue summarises the wide range of training courses on offer. This allows employees to quickly find the right courses for their training needs.

Digital learning platform grows

Digital learning platform grows

Our e-learning platform MACOversity is entering its second year and continues to grow: since its launch, there have been 3,300 successful course completions, with active users completing an average of two courses in 2023 alone.

The extension to our apprentices and the Italian branch is currently being implemented: then, for the first time, colleagues outside Austria will also have access to all online content, most of which is created by employees.

Environmentally conscious in the office

We want to sensitise our employees to sustainable behaviour. In 2023, we created an e-learning course on the topic of "Ecological behaviour in everyday office life" and published it on our digital learning platform. It provides valuable knowledge and practical tips on how everyone can make a simple contribution to environmental protection in their day-to-day work.

Paperless working is just one component of this: catalogues, invoices and business communication - all of this is becoming increasingly digital at MACO. Group-wide.

Learn environmental management

Sustainability is one of our three corporate values. To ensure that this value is brought to life and that there is a common understanding, we have been training the management team on aspects of sustainability and environmental management every year since 2021 - across the Group and across countries. As multipliers, the participants take what they have learnt back to their departments. This is an important pillar of our sustainable corporate transformation.

However, not only managers, but also other employee groups - such as our product developers in 2023 - will receive further training on the circular economy and ecological topics. The knowledge gained from this will be incorporated into the design of new products.
