MACO Group takes over 100 percent of HAUTAU

The German HAUTAU GmbH is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the MACO Group: the Austrian hardware manufacturer has taken over the remaining 25 percent of the shares in the sliding specialist. 75 percent of the company shares were already acquired in 2018 as part of a succession solution.

Together, the two traditional companies have the largest range of products in the industry: HAUTAU is, among other things, a specialist for high-quality sliding elements as well as window automation and thus complements the versatile range of products and services offered by the Salzburg-based MACO Group. "The best possible fulfilment of customer and market needs is at the heart of everything we do," emphasises Guido Felix, CEO of the group of companies. The credo is "everything from a single source".

Close cooperation - remaining a contact partner

With the 100% acquisition of HAUTAU, the MACO Group is continuing its expansion. Both hardware producers have already cooperated before 2018. "Over the past five years, we have grown closely together and will continue to grow together," says Felix. As a family-owned company with a long history, HAUTAU is an excellent fit for the MACO Group: the shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation between Salzburg and Helpsen is a win-win for everyone - as customers in a wide range of countries confirm. Examples of the close cooperation are the Move sliding fitting or a runner for lift-slide doors. This will soon be launched on the market.

"We benefit from the many years of expertise of HAUTAU employees at the Helpsen site and are glad that we can continue to offer all employees a long-term perspective at the site," explains Felix.

Management responsibility and contact persons at HAUTAU and MACO will remain unchanged. HAUTAU Managing Director Frank Jedamski: "We are pleased to be part of the MACO Group and to be there for our customers from all MACO locations. Together we will continue to drive our versatile product portfolio forward."
