The Horsehead mechanism

INSTINCT radically breaks away from the classic principles of conventional multi-point locks. The fully electronic system makes a locking cylinder superfluous. The Horsehead mechanism uses the weight of the door to create contact pressure and securely lock the door. It is available in two variants.

Guard
Guard+

INSTINCT locks mechanically and automatically as standard in the Guard version. The door practically sticks to the frame. Depending on your needs, Guard can be easily combined with Guard+.

In the premium Guard+ version, the motor additionally pulls the door against the frame and thus ensures maximum contact pressure – tightness and thermal insulation are thereby further increased.

Plug & Play

Holistic system – simple fabrication

INSTINCT works without a mechanical cylinder and reduces milling effort. Optimised specifically for the needs of fabricators, this system also impresses with its simplicity in which all components are offered from a single source.

Standards
Installation

For INSTINCT, MACO supplies the locking system, the necessary system cables, cable transitions, gateways and power supplies. All components can be combined as desired via Plug & Play. Thus, a standard product range enables all possible implementations.

INSTINCT’s compact format significantly reduces the milling effort compared to conventional locking systems. On PVC doors with a Eurogroove, the milling effort in the sash is completely eliminated.
